Last night I went with my token concert companion, Lindsey, to see the New York-based, indie rock group Ra Ra Riot at Bottletree in Birmingham.
This was our second time to see them, and the intimate venue that Bottletree provided was pure joy. Plus, drinking PBR tallboys being all hipster-ish---I never pass up such an opportunity.
I love going to concerts and just rocking out, where you're looking at the person standing next to you like oh yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm rocking out WAYYY harder than you right now.
Last week at Avett Brothers (which was fantastic, p.s.) there were these guys standing in front of us that were basically acting out lyrics in the songs and they were totally cracking me up. I love when people are having such a blast they could care less about looking stupid. I strive to be one of these people a lot.
Anyways--Check out Ra Ra Riot's quirky video below.
Also, props to Linds for her sweet new pad that I'll be frequently crashing at.
